Anyway, I just wanted to drop in to say THANK YOU for the awesome workouts. They're the best, and I hope you're well!Josh S.https://www.blogger.com/profile/10824450877208779180noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-240243626000907570.post-8215991652445651782021-02-09T15:47:50.928-05:002021-02-09T15:47:50.928-05:00Hi Jamie..how nice to see you again. I've been working out at home during the Covid madness, and while I was on my bike the other day, wondered how you were doing. I love your workouts. They are the real deal. I'm so glad you are back, and good luck with your studies. For my Ironman, I put Body Glide on before the swim and took the time in T1 to put Chamois Butt'r on under my bike shorts. I reapplied Chamois Butt'r halfway through the bike when I got my special needs bag. I didn't have any chafing issues during the run, but I did have a pair of fresh socks that I put on halfway through the run. For something less than a full-distance, I don't think I would bother re-applying lube. I would definitely re-apply sunscreen frequently, though! And I think the best way to approach it is based on what you find in training. Do some long brick sessions and see how your body holds up, apply and re-apply based on that. Hope that helps!Trihardisthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09959976526615399378noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-240243626000907570.post-16766573676834577832020-10-11T08:31:05.249-04:002020-10-11T08:31:05.249-04:00Do you ever find it necessary to add body glide du...Do you ever find it necessary to add body glide during a race or does your initial application seem to last the entire race?Chaplainhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00423935323816696601noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-240243626000907570.post-88786909411565482512020-09-20T01:52:09.813-04:002020-09-20T01:52:09.813-04:00Hi Jamie 2 years have flown by ! Two hours or so with it is fine; longer than two hours gets more uncomfortable. The medium Shebeest shorts I got were a little too big, and I'm smaller now than when I first bought them. The smalls were a little tight, though. I think the difference is either in shorts vs. bibs or in the race cut vs. club cut. Either way, the medium was a little big and the small was a little small. I have a 29" waist and 39" hips and wear a size 4-6 U.S. Hope that helps!Trihardisthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09959976526615399378noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-240243626000907570.post-45704045007103971042017-07-30T17:02:26.039-04:002017-07-30T17:02:26.039-04:00Hey! I enjoy cycling but not the associated overuse injury issues. To compound matters, yes, I have a desk bound job. A double whammy! As soon as I tried it, your instant relief stretch absolutely hit the spot. I'd been trying to relieve my tight hip issues with stretching out in the opposite direction (i.e. a "butterfly" type stretch) and while this also may have some benefits, it just wasn't providing the relief required. Sometimes an answer to a problem is counter intuitive, if that makes sense? In any case, many, many thanks for your article, it's put the enjoyment back in to my cycling. Kind regards, Barry (Geelong, Australia).
